1. Purpose
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of DônôConnect, a professional collaboration platform operated by ALARM AFRICA.
DônôConnect enables organizations and authorized users to communicate, collaborate, exchange files, manage tasks and projects, receive alerts, and use other professional collaboration services made available through the platform.
By accessing or using DônôConnect, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Professional and Organizational Use
DônôConnect is primarily intended for businesses, public entities, institutions, and other organizations.
A user may be associated with one or more organizations. Each organization may designate administrators who manage users, permissions, security policies, and certain functionality applicable to that organization's environment.
Permissions and policies may therefore differ between organizations.
3. User Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating or activating your account.
You are responsible for protecting your authentication methods and should promptly notify your organization or DônôConnect Support if you suspect unauthorized access.
A single DônôConnect account may be authorized to access multiple organizations. Permissions, roles, and accessible content remain specific to each organization.
4. Security and Organization Policies
Organizations may enforce security requirements such as biometric authentication and supported restrictions relating to data protection, screen capture, notifications, or other DônôConnect capabilities.
Users agree that these policies may apply while using DônôConnect within the relevant organization.
Mandatory organization policies may override certain local user preferences.
5. Content and Communications
DônôConnect may enable users to exchange messages, files, images, videos, documents, tasks, projects, and other professional content.
You are responsible for content you submit and must have the necessary rights to use or share it.
You may not use DônôConnect to distribute unlawful, fraudulent, malicious, infringing, or security-compromising content.
6. Organization-Owned Data
Content created or exchanged in a professional context may constitute business information or records owned, controlled, or administered by the relevant organization.
Deleting a user account therefore does not necessarily delete every message, document, audit record, or other business record to which that user contributed.
Certain information may be retained where required for contractual, operational, security, audit, or legal obligations.
7. Files and Storage
Organizations may receive storage allocations and limits based on their subscription or deployment.
ALARM AFRICA may apply storage capacity, file-size, or reasonable-use limits consistent with the subscribed service.
Users should not use organization storage for prohibited content or material unrelated to legitimate organizational activities.
8. Tasks and Projects
Tasks, projects, reminders, and work-management features are provided to facilitate collaboration.
Deadlines, reminders, and notifications provided through these features do not guarantee fulfillment of a professional, contractual, or legal obligation. Users and organizations remain responsible for their internal processes and deadlines.
9. Service Availability
ALARM AFRICA uses reasonable measures to maintain the availability, security, and resilience of DônôConnect.
The service may nevertheless experience temporary interruptions due to maintenance, updates, network conditions, technical incidents, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Unless otherwise provided by a specific customer agreement, uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.
10. Suspension or Restriction
ALARM AFRICA or the relevant organization may suspend or restrict access when reasonably necessary, including because of:
- violation of these Terms;
- security risks;
- fraudulent or abusive use;
- a legitimate request from the organization;
- expiration or suspension of an organization's subscription; or
- legal or regulatory requirements.
11. Account Deletion Requests
DônôConnect allows users to submit a request to delete their account.
Submitting a deletion request does not necessarily result in immediate deletion of all information.
ALARM AFRICA may need to verify and process the request and retain certain information where necessary for legal, contractual, security, audit, or applicable retention obligations.
Business records belonging to an organization may also be retained according to that organization's policies and obligations.
Our Privacy Policy provides additional information concerning the processing of personal information.
12. Intellectual Property
DônôConnect, its software, interfaces, trademarks, logos, visual elements, and associated technologies are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Unless expressly authorized, these Terms do not grant you the right to copy, modify, distribute, sell, license, or otherwise exploit the platform or its components.
Rights in content submitted by users or organizations remain subject to the rights of their respective owners.
13. Prohibited Uses
You may not:
- attempt unauthorized access to another user's account, organization, or data;
- circumvent security or tenant-isolation mechanisms;
- disrupt or compromise the operation of the service;
- introduce malware;
- use the platform for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;
- perform unauthorized security testing; or
- use DônôConnect in a manner that infringes the rights of ALARM AFRICA or third parties.
14. Third-Party Services and Components
Some DônôConnect functionality may depend on third-party systems, infrastructure, or software components.
Where applicable, those components may be subject to their own terms or licenses.
15. Privacy and Data Protection
The processing of personal information through DônôConnect is described in the DônôConnect Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy forms part of the rules applicable to use of the service.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, ALARM AFRICA will not be responsible for indirect losses, loss of business or revenue, or damages resulting from misuse of the service, improper configuration by an organization, or circumstances reasonably outside ALARM AFRICA's control.
Any specific warranties, service levels, or liability provisions agreed between ALARM AFRICA and a customer organization remain governed by the applicable customer agreement.
17. Changes to DônôConnect or These Terms
DônôConnect may evolve to improve functionality, security, compliance, or performance.
ALARM AFRICA may also update these Terms. The latest revision date will be displayed on this page.
Where appropriate, users or organizations may be informed of material changes.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, subject to any mandatory legal provisions that may apply.
Disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable law and, where relevant, the agreement between ALARM AFRICA and the customer organization.
19. Contact
